Mali Trg
About This Spot
Stepping into Mali Trg feels like discovering a quietly confident neighborhood spot, where the pace slows just enough to savor moments and company. Nestled gracefully in Subotica’s charming streets, this restaurant offers a welcoming embrace—a place where conversations drift easily over the clinking of glasses and the soft hum of background chatter.
The atmosphere here strikes a balance between casual ease and subtle refinement, inviting visitors to relax without losing that slight sense of occasion. It’s the kind of place where attentive service genuinely feels personal, and you find yourself returning not just for the food but for the human warmth that lingers.
At Mali Trg, the menu unfolds like a thoughtful story of local flavors and comforting textures. From the smoky aroma of a mixed grill to the delicate layers of risotto mingling with garden-fresh vegetables, each dish is prepared to invite sharing and lingering over. Traditional touches sit alongside familiar favorites—whether it’s the richness of pork belly or the fresh brightness found in a Caesar salad—crafted with enough care to keep the experience honest and grounded.
Here, drinks complement the food without fuss: a robust espresso coffee to punctuate the midday pause, or a glass of rosé wine to accompany a leisurely evening meal. The occasional wait, often noted, becomes a quiet part of the ritual—a reminder to slow down, allowing the moment and flavors to settle fully.
For visitors and locals alike, Mali Trg has earned its place as a quietly reliable refuge—a spot that nurtures both simple pleasures and thoughtful dining. It’s strong in its authenticity, a space where the details add up to something quietly memorable, quietly joyful.

Good environment in the restaurant with okay food. The pork fillet with mashed potato was nice, the avocado sandwich was disappointing though. Barely any avocado inside but a lot of kupus salad...

I love this place! Food is delicious with a large variety of dishes to choose from. The service is attentive and atmosphere comfortable, but elevated. Definitely one of my favorites in Subotica.

Everything was great. The portion of pizzas were quite big and they were so tasty. In terms of service, Sava was a great waiter, I appreciate his efforts to look after our table. Exactly recommend this place.

Hmmmm I have no words to say how satisfied I'm with this place. Perfect restaurant for everyone. The dishes are really delicious. Very honest stuff. I've rested this place several time before I post this review, just to be sure if this is not just a dream. See you soon!

Food tastes great, but we waited for it more then 45 minutes... This ruined the experience... I would recommend the Bodis-porto lemonade

Nice drinks and desserts. Service was polite and the staff are well spoken in Serbian, English and Hungarian.
